Kiss the Joy
Oil on canvas - in two sections
C2736
24 x 60 x 1.5 in - Two 24 x 30 sections

This was part of an "Eternity" series that started with sketchbook drawings made on a visit to my father when his health was failing. On the bookshelf, there was a very old book with poetry by William Blake, that included this:

Eternity

He who binds to himself a joy

Does the wingéd life destroy;

But he who kisses the joy as it flies

Lives in eternity’s sunrise.
